Ideas for stay at home moms to make money in your spare time means you don’t have a lot of time to do anything out of the ordinary to try and bring in some extra cash.
I have always been a working woman but now that I am a stay-at-home mom I still like to be able to find ways to make extra money.
As stay at home moms, we are all very very busy however if you can squeeze in a little bit of time, why not earn a little extra cash that you can use to pay off debt, save for emergencies, vacation, or shopping
These six ideas are not necessarily a side hustle, though it’s possible. These ideas are more of if you have 30 minutes to an hour or two to spare.
Swagbucks
Swagbucks is great and there are so many ways you can earn cash and gift cards just by doing everyday things you already do on the internet.
You can shop online and get cashback.
Get SB (Swagbucks) points for every dollar you spend, plus earn them by doing surveys, watching videos, doing exclusive deals, playing games, and searching the web.
Swagbucks gives you many different ways to make some extra cash.
Rakuten
Rakuten (formally known as Ebates) is by far my favorite way to get some extra cash.
Although you can earn cashback with Swagbucks, and I have, by the way, Rakuten has many more merchants to choose from.
Plus with you can also earn cashback from shopping at brick and mortar stores.
You are not limited to exclusively online shopping. Cha-Ching!
Then on top of all that goodness, there are opportunities to earn double or triple cashback during certain times of the year.

Ibotta
Ibotta is a cashback shopping app to use on your phone.
The app in my opinion is the best for grocery shopping.
I really like Ibotta because I am able to get cashback on any brand of product at the grocery store.
When these cashback apps first started, you could only get the cash on certain brand names.
Not with Ibotta and that is what makes this app so popular.
Also, you don’t earn points, its real cash and you can get paid via gift cards, PayPal, or Venmo.
Survey Junkie
When doing surveys, I DO NOT spend hours upon hours waisting time away on these. It can be a time suck.
Especially if you spend time on a survey only to find out you don’t qualify for it.
I stick with what I know is legit and I only share with my audience what is legit!
Survey Junkie is a company that will pay you cash for your time.
Inbox Dollars get a $5 bonus for signing up
I’ve read and have seen a few youtube videos where people have claimed to make thousands of dollars per month.
I don’t know how true this is, but if it is so, I would assume they are spending many hours per day doing this, and I ain’t got time for that.
But in between commercials watching a tv show, or any other idle downtime is worth it to me.
So how do you get paid? Some pay straight cash, others you earn rewards that you can then cash out via Paypal or through gift cards.
And I will add my “2 cents”, don’t sleep on the gift cards, especially the Amazon gift cards.
PERSONAL SHOPPING & DELIVERY
Remember how I said this list is mainly along the lines if you can squeeze in a little extra 30 minutes to an hour or two? These next ideas still fall into the category, but also could be considered a side hustle.
Favor
As a Favor Runner, you can deliver almost anything.
So you may receive a wide variety of orders on a particular shift.
Their system is pretty simple, you will get a favor request and choose if you would like to accept it or not.
Each favor that’s completed, you keep 100% of all your tips plus a 35% delivery fee.
The app communicates with the customer to let them know when you arrive at the destination and when you are on your way to deliver.
It is actually pretty helpful because it allows the customer to know that an unexpected stranger isn’t showing up at their door.
What I like probably the most about Favor is, they require each customer a minimum tip, some companies don’t and I particularly don’t like that.
Shipt
Shipt falls more under the category of personal shopping, which more and more people are opting to the idea of having someone doing the grocery shopping for them.
Your pay is determined by how small or big the order is.
Shipt’s system is very sophisticated and is designed to get you in and out of the store quickly since your orders are on a time schedule.
When you accept an assignment, you will get the customer’s grocery list.
Depending on the size of the order will determine how long it will take for you to complete the order.
What I like about the app, is it will tell you exactly what isle, or area of the store to go to to find a particular item from off the list.
It will give the quantity and also the image.
Love the image option because it takes the guesswork out of finding the item, and you can quickly spot it out.
What I have found working for Shipt is that stay at home moms tend to choose this as their side hustle.
I don’t know how many times I have been into the store and have run into 2 or 3 other Shipt shoppers.
With Favor and Shipt I did both of these while my son was in ABA therapy, and then on weekends when my husband was off.
So I would dedicate 2 to 3 hours max during the week, and 4 hours max on the weekends he was off.
I would dedicate during week 2 to 3 days per week, and usually Saturdays I would do Favor because everyone wants takeout.
Shipt for Sundays before or after church, because of course Sundays are huge days for grocery shopping.
UPDATE: I had my baby girl which prevents me from doing these two side hustles, but I still highly recommend them as a way to bring in extra money.
